Privacy
Privacy notice for DeskDude Services.
This page explains how the public DeskDude website, free resources, contact flow, and service inquiry process handle personal data. It does not cover the Restaurant Training app, which has separate product-specific legal pages.
Who is responsible
DeskDude is operated by Malte Steenberg in Denmark. For privacy questions, data requests, or deletion requests, contact hello@deskdude.dk. If a formal company setup or CVR details are added later, this page will be updated.
What this notice covers
This notice applies to deskdude.dk pages about DeskDude Services, free ebooks, blog posts, projects, contact requests, and future client work discussions. Restaurant Training is a separate product path and has its own privacy page at /privacy.

Legal basis
Most processing is based on legitimate interest in operating the website, replying to inquiries, keeping the site secure, and developing practical services. If we discuss or start paid work, some processing may be necessary to take steps before entering into a contract or to perform an agreement. Some records may be kept where required for legal, accounting, or documentation reasons.
Sharing and vendors
DeskDude does not sell personal data. Data may be handled by infrastructure and work tools used to run the website, receive email, host static files, deploy code, or deliver scoped client work. For client work that involves personal data, vendors and roles should be clarified before processing starts.
Retention
Simple inquiries are kept only as long as they are useful for replying, follow-up, or basic business context. Client project material may be kept during the working relationship and for a reasonable period afterwards for documentation, support, accounting, or dispute handling. You can ask for deletion where there is no need or obligation to keep the data.
Your rights
Depending on the situation, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or to object to processing. You can contact hello@deskdude.dk. You may also complain to the Danish Data Protection Authority.
No hidden tracking
The public DeskDude Services site does not currently use marketing pixels, retargeting,
session recording, newsletter tracking, or analytics cookies. The Ask Malte assistant
loads from ask-deskdude-ai.vercel.app and owns its own API, rate limiting,
privacy guard, and server-side model provider. The cookie/storage page explains the
current setup in more detail.
