Who runs the site

DeskDude Services is run by Malte Steenberg as a sole proprietorship from Copenhagen, Denmark. Contact hello@deskdude.dk. See the privacy notice for the full data controller details.

Using the website

The site is a public workspace for DeskDude Services: projects, free resources, and descriptions of what I do and how to contact me. You're welcome to read, link to, and share the public pages, as long as you don't misrepresent the content or use the site for anything harmful.

Free ebooks and notes

The free ebooks, blog posts, and practical notes I share are meant as learning and orientation material. They're working material, not legal, financial, security, compliance, medical, or other professional advice. I may update, remove, or replace them, and they may later become more formal products. If you download an ebook, a technical event is recorded server-side. See the privacy notice and the cookies page for details.

The Ask Malte assistant

The site may show a chat assistant called Ask Malte, which answers general questions about DeskDude Services. The assistant is a working tool, not legal, financial, security, or other professional advice, and it can answer incorrectly or incompletely. Don't send sensitive personal data to the assistant. See the privacy notice for what happens to what you write to it.

When you reach out about a job

Sending me an email or a short brief doesn't by itself create a client relationship between us. Work only starts once we've agreed on scope, responsibility, timeline, price, access, and delivery expectations in writing.

Client work

I can help with websites, automation systems, AI workflows, staff training, industrial automation support, technical cleanup, or product experiments. Exactly what you get depends on the scope we agree on. If personal data, production systems, regulated work, or safety-critical environments are involved, data processor roles and any data processing agreement need to be in place before work starts. Where AI and automation stop

AI tools and automation workflows can make work faster, but they can also create errors, false confidence, incomplete results, or fragile processes. Output should always be reviewed by an accountable human before it's used for important decisions, production workflows, compliance, security, hiring, finances, or anything that faces your own customers.

Where industrial automation stops

Industrial automation support needs to be scoped carefully. PLC logic, HMI changes, robotics, process control, commissioning, and safety-related work can require facility owners, certified personnel, risk assessments, standards, approvals, and testing. I don't give loose safety or compliance guarantees based on a description on a website.

Content rights

• The site's own content. Text, visuals, structure, and DeskDude branding on deskdude.dk belong to DeskDude/Malte Steenberg, unless otherwise agreed.
• Licensed third-party elements. The site uses self-hosted open-source fonts (Newsreader, Instrument Sans, JetBrains Mono) under their own open-source licenses. Icons and logo are original DeskDude designs.
• Client deliverables. Rights to what I build for a specific client are agreed in the written scope for the job. By default, the client gets the practical rights needed to use what's delivered.
• Reusable methods and tooling. General methods, templates, knowledge, and internal tooling I develop across jobs normally remain part of my own working method, unless we agree otherwise.

Third-party tools

The site is hosted and deployed via Vercel and only loads the Ask Malte assistant from ask-deskdude-ai.vercel.app as an external source. The site's Content Security Policy blocks all other third-party code in the browser. Client work may involve other third-party services such as hosting platforms, databases, AI APIs, automation tools, email providers, or app platforms. Their own terms, pricing, uptime, data handling, and limits may apply alongside these terms.

No guaranteed effect from the public content

The website describes what I can do, the direction I work in, and shows examples. It doesn't guarantee a specific result, timeline, revenue effect, search ranking, compliance status, uptime, or technical performance, without us first defining a scope and going through a review.

Restaurant Training

Restaurant Training is a separate product with its own app at app.deskdude.dk and its own product-specific legal pages, including its own terms at /restaurant-training/en/terms. These terms only cover the public DeskDude Services site.
